The Regional Centre acts as an interface between the university and the students who are enrolled in various Study Centres situated within the State of Tripura . Apart from taking usual measures for students admission, support and Term-End Examination it takes up a few region-based specific programmes for learners from the underprivileged and backward section of the society viz, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for unemployed, Self-employed youth and rural women, Computer Literacy Programme(CLP) for destitute women etc.
