The student enrolment during 2001-2002 including re-registration was 823.It has increased to 1211 in the year 2003-2004 and 3961 in the year 2005-2006. The sharp increase in enrolment is seen under Agartala RC. State Government sponsored CPE candidates is one of the contributing factors for such growth in enrolment It may be noted that during the period 2001-2002 to 2005-2006 the Tripura University SC-2601 has the highest number of enrolment and the MEG programme boasts of the highest student enrolment. Other study centers have also increased the enrolment during these years. SC-2603 has increased the enrolment from 04 in 2001-2002 to 734 in 2004-2005. Even the newly established SCs have a steady increase in enrolment as can be seen from figures. It is observed that apart from teachers training programmes (CPE & CETE) computer related programmes attract high enrolment.
